Announcing the 2008/09 CHASE Science Program
CHASE Academy is proud to announce our 2008/09 MS/HS science program. This is a 30 week Christian program. All classes are open to participating as well as non-participating members. We offer a rigorous academic program taught by qualified instructors.
Lisa Brown is a Registered Nurse who graduated from Lancaster General School of Nursing and Millersville University. She has been a nurse in Maternal Child Health since 1989 and is an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) and childbirth educator. Currently she works in New Beginnings Birth Suites in Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon. Lisa has been homeschooling for 7 years and teaches MS Health and Life Science presently and has taught various other classes at CHASE including writing and math.
Cathy Mangini holds an Associate Science Degree in Veterinary Technology and a B.S. in Biology. She spent 20 years employed in science related positions. She has been a home schooling mom for six years and been member of CHASE for five years. She has taught classes all five years at CHASE.
Chris Ratcliff holds a B.S. in chemistry from Shippensburg University. She has been employed at Lancaster Laboratories for the past 20 years in various technical and supervisory roles. She has been a home schooling mom for 5 years and taught various science classes at CHASE during that time.
Barb Weaver holds a B.S. in Biology from Guilford College. She has worked in both the science and the science education industries for over 25 years. She was employed at various companies, including DuPont and Carolina Biological Supply Company. She has worked at Lancaster Labs for the past 17 years. She began home schooling her three sons this past year, and has enjoyed teaching science at CHASE during that period.
