HS Physical World 2010-11

Covers the scientific method, measuring, introductory chemistry, and introductory physics. This course lays the groundwork for upper-level laboratory courses. Note to parents: Please remember the instructor is with your child one hour each week. If you are uncomfortable working on science at home with your child, please consider purchasing the teacher manuals to go with the material. We cannot copy answers and distribute them to parents as this is against copyright laws.

Prerequisite:  Students must have completed pre-algebra and be currently taking Algebra I.

Curriculum: BJUP Physical World, 4th edition

Instructor: Barb Weaver

Homework: Extensive, to include daily reading, answering questions, completing lab write ups and completion of tests about every 2 weeks.

Supplies Needed: BJU Physical Science student text 4th edition (ISBN: 978-1-59166-552-6), lab manual (ISBN: 978-1-59166-793-3), test packet; scientific calculator, notepaper, pencil.

Class Fee:  $25 ($140 for non-participating families)
