HS Biology 2010-11
This class provides a strong background in scientific method, the five-kingdom classification scheme, microscopy, biochemistry, cellular biology, molecular and Mendelian genetics, evolution, dissection, and ecosystems. It also provides a complete survey of the five kingdoms in Creation. This class does not contain a discussion of human anatomy and physiology. Dissection is included in the class. Science roots to accompany the course will be taught.
Curriculum: Apologia Biology 2nd Edition
Instructor: Cathy Mangini
Homework: Extensive, to include daily reading with questions, chapter review questions, tests and lab reports.
Supplies Needed: Apologia Exploring Creation with Biology, 2nd Edition, text (ISBN 1-932012-54-0), Solutions and Test (ISBN 1-932012-55-9), Companion CD-ROM recommended, but not required, colored pencils, notebook paper.
